For many of us, Christmas is a time of indulgence and rightly so! It’s always nice to be able to sit back and enjoy some good food and catch-ups with friends and family. However, often after times of over indulgence, we can be left feeling not our best selves. VITHIT have come up with a list of things that you can do to enjoy the festive season, whilst still indulging!
1. Get some fresh air
It’s easy to stay indoors when it's cold outside but getting in some fresh air each day can really help to boost your mood. Sitting inside with artificial light all day long is known to be bad for energy levels. Pick out a time for each day that you choose to get up, get out and stay active. Even a few minutes each day can have hugely positive effects for both your mind and body!
2. Eat nutritious and delicious foods
Eating natural, home cooked meals is also a great way to stay feeling your best and thriving this Christmas. Eating unprocessed foods is great for helping you feel energised. Try to avoid foods high in fat and sugar where possible!
3. Grab a buddy!
It can be hard to find the motivation to get up and out for some fresh air when everyone is bundled up inside watching movies. Committing to meeting a friend or partnering with a family member to get those steps in will keep you accountable and make it much easier to get up and at em!
4. Treat yourself!
It’s Christmas time, of course you should treat yourself with some delicious goodies from time to time. If you're conscious of your sugar and calorie intake over the holidays, why not grab yourself a VITHIT? Delicious, nutritious and oh so sweet! Sounds like a winner to us!
